ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose honored the life of former men’s lacrosse student-athlete Matt Frankel in a pregame ceremony prior to the Golden Knights season-opener on February 15th, 2023.
Matt Frankel was a Class of 2023 senior business major and men’s lacrosse goalie who passed away on August 18, 2022 from natural causes at home.
The Saint Rose athletic department invited all student-athletes, as well as any other Saint Rose students, faculty, and members of the Capital Region that had known or were impacted by Matt and joined the family for a moment of silence at midfield of Sullivan Field before the Golden Knights commenced the 2023 season against #2 nationally-ranked Mercy.
